Dorothy A. McMillan
June 27, 1943 - December 31, 2022
Dorothy A. McMillan, age 79, of Newark, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2022. Dorothy grew up in Landenberg, PA, in the home she helped her father build. She was a 1961 graduate of Kennett High School. In the 1980s she attended Goldey Beacom College where she took photography classes. Dorothy was a dedicated Christian and read her Bible and prayed daily. She was a member of Fairwinds Baptist Church where in the past she had served as a secretary and a substitute gym teacher in the school. Dorothy enjoyed taking pictures, cutting out news articles and doing connect the dots and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed being outdoors and doing yard work.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Juanita Dawn Miles (Steven); grandchildren: Zachariah, Kenneth (fiancée, Lisa), Lauren, Robert, and Andrew; 11 great-grandchildren; special friends: Wanza, Sandy, and Lisa; and her grand-dog, Archie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Doris Hendrickson; and daughter, Dorthea Lee McMillan.
